Why a Retreat About the Church?

When Jesus calls something His "Bride" or His "Body" it's an ENORMOUS deal.Yet, it seems impossible to turn on the news without seeing the fall of some famous church leader, or surf the internet without seeing churches clash over what they are convinced Jesus did or didn’t say, or mention to a co-worker that you attend a church without hearing a horror story about church hypocrisy from them. In the end we’re left asking one question, Is this really God’s best plan?  To use the Church (Ephesians 3:10), which is so broken and tainted, to distribute His message of redemption to the world?  The answer of scripture is a resounding YES.This retreat will have nothing to do with you, but has everything to do with us and our collective purpose as God's people.
